Senator Chair by Ole Wanscher for France and Søn, teak and velour velvet, 1960s

A stunning classic by design icon Ole Wanscher, featuring the characteristic curved lines of Danish mid-century design. This version, produced by the original manufacturer France & Søn, exemplifies the high-quality craftsmanship and careful selection of materials typical of that era.

The armchair is in very good original condition with slight age-related signs of wear on the solid teak frame. The original flat steel coil springs beneath the seat and the spring core upholstery are in perfect condition. The velour velvet upholstery is also likely to be original; only the black fabric covering over the steel coil springs has been replaced.

The seat height is approx. 43 cm.
